Welcome to the UC 2026 Semester 1 O-Week Registration! The countdown is officially on, and we’ve put together the perfect schedule to kick-start your journey at University of Canberra (UC).

O-Week runs from Monday 9th February to Saturday 14th February 2026, with something new happening every day to help you settle in, connect with others and start your UC adventure right.

Time for the biggest event of O-Week: the UCLifex O-Week Market Day! With stalls from UC social, academic, cultural and sporting clubs, there’s no doubt that you will be able to find your people. If none of them interest you, there will be plenty of UC and local organisations who will be able to help you out!

If even that doesn’t interest you, perhaps free stuff will? UCLifex, our clubs and other local organisations will be offering freebies on the day. So why wouldn’t you want to come? If you can only attend one event of O-Week, this is one not to miss!

Still not sold? How about some live music?! We'll have a stage with live music playing all. event. long! The event will also be stacked with various other entertainment throughout the day, you'll just have to find them all...

Market Day will run from 10am - 2pm with so much to do and explore for the duration of it but even better, you can drop by at anytime!

Kickstart Your HDR Journey at UC – Semester 1 Orientation 

Join us on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, for an engaging and informative day designed to set you up for success in your research degree. HDR Orientation is your opportunity to connect with fellow candidates, meet key staff from the Graduate Research School and your faculty, and learn everything you need for a smooth start to your candidature. 

Across the day, you’ll enjoy a welcome breakfast, hear from UC leaders, and gain practical insights into managing your degree, planning your development, and accessing essential resources. You’ll also explore wellbeing and respectful relationships, discover HDR-specific digital safety tips, and connect with support networks that will guide you throughout your research journey.

Everyone who completes the hunt gets a free 1 week membership to UC FitX Gym and Group Fitness classes. 1 student who completes the hunt will be randomly drawn to win a UC Bar Voucher. Bring your friends along and have a fun time.

The Student Representative Council (SRC) is partnering with the ACT Women’s Working Centre to cover the key things students need to know for casual and part-time work, including pay, breaks, rosters, awards, and what to do if something feels unfair or unsafe. We’ll also share common issues students run into at work and simple steps you can take.
